ELSOMA GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr. Slatter Holding GmbH (DSH) since 1 April 2023. 

Founded in 1989, ELSOMA is a partner for manufacturers and users of permanent magnets – from the idea to series production. ELSOMA specialises in products and services for all stages of the value chain in the production and application of magnets for sensors and actuators. 

“The experienced team in Schwerte understands the interplay of magnetics, electronics, mechanics and software in order to realise precise and productive magnetising and measuring technology. This expertise helps customers achieve more accurate rotary and linear encoders in automation technology, more power-dense electric drives in electromobility, more precise motion sequences in robots and more reliable switching operations for safety applications,” says Dr Rolf Slatter, new owner at ELSOMA and owner of ITK Dr Kassen GmbH, manufacturer of mechatronic positioning systems.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr Slatter as our new owner. There is already a long-standing connection in the form of a customer and supplier relationship with ITK. This gives me the certainty that my life’s work will be continued in my spirit,” explains Franz op den Winkel, founder and previous managing director at ELSOMA, who will continue to act in an advisory capacity. 

Bernd Böhle, a long-time senior employee at ELSOMA, will become the new managing director. “As a designer and developer, I know the requirements of the market very well. I am looking forward to my new task and thank Dr.Slatter for his trust. We will continue to focus on bringing new and innovative products to the market. I also consider the close cooperation with ITK in the area of magnetising systems to be particularly valuable.”
